yesterday, as i was in my studio with my camera,
finn asked, “mom, do you want to paint a picture of me?”
as i looked up, i saw that he had his hands over his eyes
i’m sure he was thinking of a recent painting that i did of his sister,
where i painted her with her hands over her eyes

“unthinkable game”

his request melted my heart
so, i quickly snapped a photo
and had to paint him

“what about me?”
