    Ali, this is beautiful and evocative. I agree with the love of the colors and the light and will add my love for the title too. How do you come up with your titles? Do the covered eyes symbolize trust?

    alison, the titles are usually inspired by catholic prayers or reflections.
    are the covered eyes trust? that’s a great question. …maybe.
    i feel sometimes that the hands are guarding the eyes from the intense light, like the light is just too bright to look at with naked eyes.
    sometimes i think of the covering as a veil.
    veiling in the sense of submission
    and also like the eucharist ….Christ veiled in bread and wine.
    but each painting is slightly different
