“listening without hearing”
16″ x 20″
sold

My right ear is completely deaf. So my left ear is my good ear…even though there is hearing loss in that ear too. I find that the world seems to only exist on my left side. Everything to my right seems to be dead to some degree. Not always, but most of the time I find that I intuitively place my figure with the left ear exposed to the viewer. It’s comfortable to me. I feel like the figure is open to the world when painted from the left side.
