is this girl for sale?

Wednesday, January 31st, 2007

there is a certain look that some little girls have
this look takes me back to a time when i was a little girl
and i would see a really exquisite doll in its perfect packaging
…i remember a small rush of being in awe and being speechless

if you ever hear me say…”is that girl for sale?”
in reference to a real little girl age ranging from 18 months
to 3 1/2 years of age …i’m experiencing a bit of nostalgia

as i was working on this most recent commission
i wondered if this little sweetie on the left was for sale

wanting and waiting

Wednesday, January 17th, 2007

without giving too much away,
this piece, for me, is about looking for direction, seeking through prayer,
and then stepping back to wait for an answer
…waiting with a hint of impatience
