the show is titled “twelve”
i can’t wait to see what others come up with

the concept for this piece came from reflecting on “the hour of mercy”,
which is the 3 0′clock hour.

i was invited to be a part of a great fundraiser in santa fe
all artists are to submit a 12″ x 12″ piece
i revisited this figure
this particular pose has been so fun to paint
in “a brilliant overlay” i painted red, coral, and white stripes
i decided to just go with the classic candy cane colors for this little one
