“piglet I”
16″ x 20″   fresco

i’m not sure how old this piglet is
i did try to paint her life size
my favorite thing about this one is the unique color
it seemed to be copper next to all of the pink and black ones
the pig farm that i visited had hundreds of babies to choose from
pen after pen of nursing mothers, it was cute
there were babies as young as two days old
the room full of weened pigs was pretty awesome
sort of looked like a daycare center
….an ocean of pigs
one little movement would send them moving in a wave
sort of like a school of fish

baby goat II

“baby goat II”
11″ X 14″  fresco

i just love the look on this little baby’s face
the asymmetry of the ears make me smile
one of my favorite things about baby goats are the way
they pop around like popped corn
it was funny to see the mommy goat just sitting there still as a statue
while three little babies were bouncing on and around,
playing on her like she was a trampoline
